MAERCKS-lift

Dr. Maercks has developed his own technique of facelift which incorporates histiocentric principles and a structural understanding of the aesthetic face. This procedure is known as the MAERCKS-lift. The technique is designed to redefine the natural angles and structure of the face and re-sculpt them for a natural and aesthetically pleasing look.

With the MAERCKS-lift procedure, the scar is completely hidden. There is no anterior hairline extension of the incision. Because of the histiocentric properties, it produces support from the strongest tissues in the face while maintaining a full blood supply to these structures. Similar to a SMAS facelift, the real changes are deep, so there is no need for creating unnatural tension in the skin that can be found in some other traditional facelift procedures. This technique avoids the undesirable 'stretched' look allowing the patient to appear naturally refreshed without looking like a different person or unnatural.

The MAERCKS-lift is a facelift technique that was inspired by work that Dr. Maercks did with internationally-renowned plastic surgeons. Dr. Maercks took these ideas and refined the procedure in order to provide a fantastic result and still allows him to maintain the entire blood supply in the treated area. This procedure is beneficial to patients, because it minimizes the appearance of incisions, abnormal skin folds, ear deformities, and hairline displacement. Patients who receive the MAERCKS-lift will be able to walk away without the "pulled tight" look, and feel confident they look natural, more youthful and refreshed.
