Injectable Fillers

When evaluating a patient's face for minimally invasive interventions such as Botox and fillers, Dr. Maercks considers factors such as global appearance, ethnicity, distracting features, light, shadow and three dimensional form.

Before we even have time for conscious thought, the human brain and eye work together to create an aesthetic judgement about a person's age and mood. This powerful initial judgement happens in approximately 300 milliseconds, becoming the tinted lens through which we see our subject.

Dr. Maercks specializes in recreating the subconscious visual cues of beauty, happiness and youth without changing the identity of his patients. He creates these cues by changing spacing, contours, light reflexes and shapes of shadows with subtle fillers such as hyaluronic acid and fat. The result is an appearance of a younger, more vibrant, happier, healthier you. Greatest success is achieved when your closest friends look at you half surprised and say "you look beautiful today" without suspecting an intervention has been applied.
