After being thoroughly dissatisfied with conventional techniques of breast lift and breast reduction, Dr. Maercks developed the FEMMA-S technique to meet an unserved need. Conventional techniques may lift and/or reduce the breast tissue, but leave the breast covered in scars and create an unnatural flat and often squared appearance. The FEMMA-S technique addresses these problems by hiding all scars and using the patient's own body to support a beautiful projecting breast that endures and has the appearance of an aesthetic augmentation instead of a reduction.
