The Surgical Procedure: How the Endoscopic Brow Lift Works
Most brow lifts can be completed in 1–2 hours. Dr. Maercks may recommend local anesthesia with sedation or in some cases, general anesthesia. The face and surrounding areas are cleansed and the hair is tied back. Incisions are made in different areas behind the hairline depending on technique; the endoscopic technique requires 4-5 short incisions. The tissues are gently elevated to restore a natural eyebrow arch. A special technique fixates the brow in place before the incisions are closed with clips or stitches.

After surgery, the doctor applies a soft absorbent dressing to the treated areas. A medication is prescribed to help manage post-operative pain.
