What is Dysport?
As we age, the emotions and expressions of our faces contribute to the lines we see when we look in the mirror. In order to combat these physical manifestations of our age we can turn to the injectable Dysport®, most often used to smooth out forehead lines.
Dysport®, which has been widely used in the UK for over a decade and was approved by the FDA in 2009, is a purified Botulinum neurotoxin for cosmetic use. While it is most frequently used to diminish forehead lines, it is also helpful in reducing the appearance of Glabellar lines/frown lines and Crow's Feet, as well as reducing muscle spasms.
What to Expect During Treatment with Dysport in Miami
When administering Dysport in Miami, the injection site is chosen first. Based on the mass of the muscle at the site, the appropriate dosage of Dysport® is injected. A topical anesthetic is an option, but not usually necessary. When injected, Dysport® decreases the muscle contraction, allowing wrinkle to smooth out. The process is short and treatment usually takes about 15 minutes. Possible Side Effects

In rare cases, the botulinum toxin contained in Dysport® may spread to areas other than the injection site. If this occurs, potential side effects include swallowing or breathing problems, muscle weakness or loss of strength, blurred or double vision, hoarseness, loss or change of voice and loss of bladder control.
